I invite you to see the most magnificent outskirt residence of imperial family - Peterhof - jewel of the Russian art, a kingdom of parks, palaces and fountains.
  The Upper Gardens and the Lower Park are the masterpieces of gardening numbering over 170 fountains. On the territory of the reserve there are several working museums: the Grand Peterhof Palace, Monplaisir, Catherine's Block, Marli, Hermitage, Saint-Alexander Nevsky Church, the Benois family museum, Cottage and the Bath block with newly restored rooms and kitchen.My suggestion is to walk around Lower Park to see the best fountains and visit the Grand Palace - unique combination of tastes or three rulers - Peter the Great, his daughter Elizabeth and Catherine the Great. Brilliant interiors, European, Russian and Chinese porcelain, furniture of 18 and 19 centuries, hand embroidered silk, parquet floors, breathtaking chandeliers…all of it to impress you.
  Then we can go back to the city or visit one of the smaller palaces located in the area of Peterhof. For ex., Marli – living house of Peter the Great or Bath block with Russian kitchen.For this tour we have two opportunities – to come by hydrofoil (30 minuets along Neva river and Gulf of Finland and we are there) or to come by car. If choosing a car (1 hour driving) another option is to visit famous Constantine Palace in Strelna on the way back. It is exactly the palace where G8 meeting took place this summer.
